We are two southern escapees that set up home and business on the beautiful Isle of Skye with our two slightly mad and very licky pups, Toby and Missy.
We love hosting, being able to share our love of Skye with our guests, many of whom have become good friends.
Herebost Holiday Homes consists of a luxurious one bedroom timber cabin and a shepherds hut within the grounds of our home. Both properties have plenty of their own space and privacy while being close enough for us to assist with any queries or additional requirements that you may have. We are passionate about providing an inviting, comfortable, welcoming retreat for our guests. We are dedicated to making your stay unforgettable, whether you’re exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Skye or relaxing enjoying the great views over Loch Roag and on to Mcleod's Tables from both of our properties.
We are enthusiastic about sharing the beauty and magic of the Isle of Skye. Our holiday cottages were created to offer a cosy and memorable retreat for travellers seeking a peaceful escape surrounded by nature.
From the initial inspiration to the finishing touches, every aspect of our cottages reflects our love for Skye and dedication to providing an exceptional experience for our guests. We hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoy welcoming you!
We manage and maintain the properties, ensuring every detail is perfect for your visit. Our commitment is to make your stay seamless, comfortable, and truly memorable.
Whether it’s recommending hidden gems on the island or providing personalised guidance for your stay, we are here to help you experience the very best that Skye has to offer.
Once lockdown was eased in 2020 we gave up bricks and mortar on the Isle of Wight and spent two and a half years living in a motorhome exploring the length of the the UK looking for where we wanted to start the next chapter of our lives. It was a life changing experience that we both adored, it gave us an entirely new perspective on what was important to us while living a much simpler existence to the hustle and bustle we were used to.
Having both loved the highlands of Scotland since first stepping foot in them many years previously, we spent a lot of time exploring them in depth and we ended up on Skye for 3 consecutive summers. Each time, we stayed longer and leaving became harder so it seemed obvious that we had found our new home.
In August 2022 we bought a property just outside Dunvegan in the Northwest of Skye and havent regretted it for a second ever since.
